SONA 2024: Ghana to Launch Performance Tracker for Government Projects


President Akufo-Addo has announced that the government will introduce a Performance Tracker in March 2024 to provide detailed information on all projects initiated since the NPP took office, including their progress and locations.

During the State of the Nation Address, President Akufo-Addo emphasized that the Performance Tracker aims to enhance accountability by allowing the public to easily access project updates using their phones or conducting physical inspections if desired. This initiative is also intended to combat the spread of misinformation regarding government projects.

Highlighting the government's commitment to digitalization, President Akufo-Addo praised Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for spearheading the digital transformation efforts and announced that the Performance Tracker would enable citizens to monitor various infrastructure projects independently.


The President encouraged the public to utilize the Performance Tracker, emphasizing that his administration has made significant strides in infrastructure development across sectors such as education, health, agriculture, security, transportation, tourism, and digitalization.

President Akufo-Addo affirmed that the Performance Tracker will be officially launched in March, providing a transparent and accessible platform for citizens to track government projects and investments.
