PAC Orders Arrest of NSA Northern Regional Director Over Misuse of GH¢160K
In a decisive move, Parliament has issued a directive for the arrest of the Northern Regional Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA) due to the mishandling of internally generated funds totaling over GH¢160,000.
The directive comes in response to the official's failure to deposit these funds into the designated Consolidated Fund Transit account of the Authority, as stipulated by financial regulations.

The 2022 Auditor General's report flagged the Northern Regional Management of the Sports Authority for their improper expenditure of these funds, which contravened the Public Financial Management Regulations of 2019.

Expressing dismay over their non-compliance, the chairman emphasized the seriousness of the matter, stating, "We are instructing the police to pick up the regional director and accountant of the region without delay.
