I am not Interested in Becoming Bawumia's Running Mate - Kennedy Agyapong
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has made it clear that he will not entertain any offer to team up with the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) 2024 presidential candidate, Mahamudu Bawumia, as his running mate.

In the NPP's recent presidential primary, Dr. Bawumia emerged victorious with 61.47% of the votes, defeating Agyapong who garnered 37.41% of the votes. Despite this outcome, Bawumia has yet to announce his running mate after a selection process extension in December.
Speaking on the KSM Show on Pan African Television in Accra, Agyapong emphasized the importance of allowing Bawumia the freedom to make his own decisions. He stated, "I wouldn’t do it, I just want to allow him to do whatever he wants to do. I don’t want to be vice. What am I going to say."
Agyapong expressed his belief in democracy and his willingness to contribute in other ways, emphasizing that he does not aspire to be vice president. He highlighted his impact through business ventures that have positively impacted many Ghanaians, stating, "One thing I have always said is that you don’t need to be president to effect change in people’s lives."
