Good Sex is Key to Lasting Marriage - President Joe Biden Reveals in New Book

In the recently published 276-page book titled "American Woman – The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden," President Joe Biden was reported to have shared his belief that good sex is essential for a long and enduring marriage while joking with his aides. 

The book, authored by New York Times White House correspondent Katie Rogers, is set to be released this week.

Jill Tracy Jacobs Biden, who is currently the second wife of President Biden, was born on June 3, 1951. The couple first met on a blind date in March 1975 and later got married on June 17, 1977, at the Chapel at the United Nations in New York City. This union came four and a half years after the tragic loss of Biden's first wife and infant daughter.


Rogers reveals in her book that Biden had proposed multiple times before Jill accepted, as she was initially hesitant due to concerns about entering the public eye and raising his two surviving sons. The book also recounts an anecdote from 2004 when Joe Biden expressed disinterest in running for president, stating he would rather be at home making love to his wife while their children were asleep.

Although President Biden has toned down his public declarations about their intimate life since winning the presidency, he reportedly jokes with aides that good sex is crucial for a happy and lasting marriage, much to his wife's chagrin.

The book delves into the emotional turmoil Joe Biden faced after the tragic car accident in 1972 that claimed the lives of his first wife, Neilia, and daughter Naomi. Despite the challenges, Joe and Jill eventually married in 1977 after five proposals from Biden, with him finally issuing an ultimatum on the fifth attempt.
