Manasseh Azure Awuni referenced the government's initial stance on reducing corruption rather than burdening citizens with taxes, emphasizing the potential financial gains from anti-corruption efforts.

He highlighted examples like potential savings from addressing corruption in entities such as SML, underscoring the financial losses compared to revenue generated through e-levy collections. The journalist stressed the transformative effect of curbing corruption on redirecting funds to productive sectors and stimulating economic growth.

Drawing from his experience studying corruption at the Harvard Kennedy School, Manasseh Azure Awuni cited the case of Estonia as a model for efficient business processes and anti-corruption measures. He underscored the need for proactive strategies in combatting both petty and grand corruption, urging a comprehensive approach that tackles fraudulent contracts and similar issues prevalent in governance.
