Nothing Can Stop Me From Doing Speechathon - Adu Safowaah

Regina Adu Safowaah, an actress and businesswoman, is determined to carry out her Guinness Book of Records Speech-A-Thon, which is slated to take place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra from February 7 to 14, 2024. 

The resolute actress has not wavered in the face of a torrent of disparaging remarks in the wake of her announcement, highlighting her unflinching dedication to bringing her newest project to fruition.

Adu Safowaah spoke about her unwavering pursuit of her ambitions in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, saying, "Those who are not in support of what I want to do should stop wasting their time because that is not going to happen. My Speech-A-Thon is happening on February 7 to 14, 2024, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, and nothing is going to stop me from doing that. My team and I have been planning for this for some time now, and I know it is going to go well.”

Acknowledging the criticisms she has faced, Adu Safowaah highlighted the support she has received from some colleagues within the entertainment industry, indicating that despite varying sentiments, she remains resolute in championing her cause. 

She outlined her intention of leveraging the Speech-A-Thon platform to promote Ghana's beauty, rich culture, local dialects, and cuisine, with the aim of encouraging increased diaspora engagement with the nation.

Emphasizing the rigorous preparation for her Speech-A-Thon, Adu Safowaah provided insights into her approach, mentioning periodic breaks and meticulous rehearsal and planning involving her medical team. She further articulated her ambition to surpass the existing Speech-A-Thon record, aiming to propel Ghana onto the global stage.

Responding to concerns about the entertainment value of the event and her choice of a Speech-A-Thon as a means of promoting Ghana, Adu Safowaah highlighted her passion for engaging in lively and captivating discourse. She underscored her intent to infuse entertainment into the Speech-A-Thon while refraining from disclosing excessive details, to allow Ghanaians to relish the experience she aims to offer.
