My Aim Was to Create a Legacy for my Family and the Northern Region - Faila Cries on TV
Failatu Abdul-Razak, known as Chef Faila, has completed a 227-hour cook-a-thon in an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record. The chef, who hails from the Northern Region, expressed that her long hours in the kitchen were not just for her own benefit but also for the supporters who have encouraged her along the way.

Reflecting on her journey, Chef Faila tearfully shared that her efforts were aimed at creating a legacy for her family and her hometown, with a desire to change the narrative about her region. "To change the story about my family, about the North...that number of hours from 120 to 227 and some minutes was in honor of all those people," she said, highlighting the challenges faced by young girls in the region.
In an emotional interview with Accra-based TV3, Chef Faila emphasized that her motivation was not financial gain but rather a desire to bring unity and joy to the Northern Region and the nation as a whole. She expressed gratitude to all those who supported and believed in her throughout her journey, emphasizing that her achievement was for them.
