AFCON 2023: Silly Mistakes Caused Us To Concede Goals - Mohammed Kudus

Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus expressed his disappointment after the Black Stars' 2-2 draw against Egypt at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Despite Kudus scoring twice in his AFCON debut, Ghana twice lost their lead to the Pharaohs, settling for a draw.

Kudus, who was named Man of the Match, felt that Ghana deserved more from the game. "We got a point today," he said. "I felt we deserved more because the goals [Egypt] scored were from some silly mistakes from us which we need to learn from."

The draw leaves Ghana with one point from two games, having previously lost to Cape Verde. With one match remaining in Group B, Chris Hughton's side will now face Mozambique on Monday, January 22, aiming for a spot in the knockout stages.

Accra High Court has issued a final ultimatum to the prosecution in the case involving former Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, Kwesi Nyantakyi. The court demanded the state to present witnesses to testify against Nyantakyi in relation to the fraud and other charges leveled against him; failure to comply risks the dismissal of the case.
