We Will Focus on Completing Projects Rather Than Starting New Ones - Former President Mahama Pledges
Speaking at a townhall meeting in Wa during his "Building the Ghana We Want" tour of the Upper West Region, Mr. Mahama assured the audience that a new NDC government would utilize available resources to finalize abandoned initiatives, such as those at the SD Dombo University for Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS).

Highlighting the importance of continuity in development efforts, Mr. Mahama referenced promises made by late President John Evans Atta Mills regarding key projects at the Wa campus of the University for Development Studies (UDS). He expressed his intention to resume and complete these projects, including an ultra-modern library, a lecture hall complex, and a students' hostel facility, to enhance educational infrastructure in the region.
Addressing critical road infrastructure challenges, Mr. Mahama acknowledged the delayed construction of the Wa-Tumu-Bolgatanga road and the deteriorating condition of the Wa-Bole-Bamboi road. He pledged to prioritize the rehabilitation of these roads, emphasizing their significance in facilitating transportation and healthcare access for residents.
During his visit to the region, the NDC flagbearer for the 2024 general election is scheduled to engage with various stakeholders, including clergy, labour unions, traditional leaders, farmers, and leaders of tertiary institutions, as part of his campaign outreach efforts.
