A video capturing the NDC Chairman's accusations against Valentino Nii Noi Nortey during an address in Osu was brought to the attention of Nortey's campaign team a few days ago. Nortey denounced the unfounded allegations as a deliberate effort to disrupt peace, exploit sensitive matters in Klottey Korle, besmirch his reputation, jeopardize his political aspirations, and potentially incite severe repercussions.

In an interview conducted yesterday, Nii Noi Nortey affirmed his decision to pursue legal recourse against the NDC Chairman. He cited the Chairman's statements implicating him and certain government entities in criminal activities as the basis for his legal action.

Speaking out against the accusations levelled by the NDC Constituency Chairman for Klottey Korle, Nortey highlighted the alarming nature of the false claims made. He condemned assertions of collaboration with the police to orchestrate arrests in the constituency and subsequent heroics in securing their release as damaging to his character and irresponsible in regards to community welfare.

Furthermore, Nii Noi Nortey pointed out additional defamatory statements purported by Benjamin Kotey Neequaye, such as allegations of deliberate arson and water supply disruptions aimed at manipulating public sentiment; actions he unequivocally denied.

Expressing concern over the provocative nature of the video and its potential to incite violence, Nortey stressed the importance of addressing such falsehoods through legal means to safeguard public peace, preempt unnecessary tensions in Klottey Korle, and deter individuals with malicious agendas from spreading harmful misinformation.
