BREAKING: Deputy Finance Minister, Dr. John Kumah, Passes Away


On Thursday, March 7, the Ghanaian community received the heartbreaking news of the passing of Dr. John Kumah, the Deputy Minister for Finance. His departure occurred in the early hours of the day while he was in Germany, seeking medical assistance after battling health challenges.

Dr. Kumah's journey was marked by various significant milestones, from his impactful role as the first Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) to his establishment of successful ventures like Aduaprokye Chambers and Majak Associates Ltd. His leadership at NEIP saw the training and financial support of numerous startups, contributing to Ghana's thriving entrepreneurship landscape.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Kumah's dedication to education shone brightly. He held a Doctorate in Business Innovation from the Swiss Business School, a Masters in Applied Business Research, and an Executive MBA in Finance from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). His academic foundation was laid at the University of Ghana, where he obtained Bachelor's degrees in Economics with Philosophy and Law before being called to the Ghana Bar.
