Stonebwoy Paid Over GH₵70,000 to NSA - Stonebwoy’s Manager Disputes NSA Account

Chief Abiola, the manager of renowned Ghanaian artiste Stonebwoy, disclosed to Hitz FM that Stonebwoy paid well over GH₵70,000 to the National Sports Authority (NSA) to secure the Accra Sports Stadium for his 5th Dimension Concert held on December 22, 2023.

This revelation contradicts the reported figure put forth by the Director General of the NSA, Peter Twumasi, during his appearance before the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament on Monday, February 5, 2024.

In an interview with Merqury Quaye and Dr. Shine on U Say Wetin on Hitz FM, Chief Abiola clarified the payment discrepancy, affirming that Stonebwoy had disbursed a sum exceeding GH₵70,000 for the stadium reservation.

While navigating the sensitive nature of contractual discussions, Chief Abiola abstained from divulging exact figures, citing ongoing developments and the preceding parliamentary inquiry.

Peter Twumasi, who has faced criticism for the NSA's leasing of the Accra Sports Stadium for concerts in December 2023, defended the decision during his committee appearance.

The stadium's unavailability for sporting events during the festive period led to clubs seeking alternative venues for their Ghana Premier League fixtures, a move justified by Twumasi as necessary for revenue generation and operational sustainability.
