The regent of Wlitey-Gamakope, Mr. Agbenyega Klaye, revealed to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the primary suspect, Simon Dorve, a 41-year-old fetish priest from the area, had confessed to the murder, admitting to removing the deceased's head and both legs for ritualistic purposes, a revelation met with astonishment within the community.

Confirming the arrests, a police source informed the GNA that Mr. Dorve and his alleged accomplices were apprehended following a report to the Akatsi Police regarding the disappearance of the victim. Subsequent investigations led to the apprehension of two more suspects, Godfred, a student, and Ahomey Gbeti, also identified as a fetish priest, who were found in possession of items belonging to the deceased.

The source disclosed that after questioning, Ahomey Gbeti confessed to participating in the crime alongside the principal suspect, Mr. Dorve, who was taken into custody on Saturday morning, February 10, in Wlitey-Gamakope for further investigation.
