Court Sentences 12 Culprits to Life Imprisonment for Major Mahama's Killing

Twelve people have been sentenced to life in prison for their roles in the horrible murder of Major Maxwell Mahama as a result of a recent court decision. They were convicted guilty of both murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

William Baah, a former assemblyman for Denkyira Obuasi, is one among the guilty parties. Two more, Bismark Donkor and Bismark Abanga, on the other hand, were found not guilty and were let go.

A seven-member panel found the assemblyman and several others—Bernard Asamoah, Akwasi Baah, Kwame Tuffour, Joseph Appiah Kubi, Kofi Nyarko, Michael Anim, Emmanuel Badu, John Bosie, Charles Kwaning, and Kwadwo Anim—all guilty of the unanimous decision. The jury has been dismissed, and Justice Mariama Owusu will now sentence the guilty men and women.

Major Maxwell Mahama tragically lost his life at the hands of an angry mob in Denkyira Obuase in the Central Region while on official duty as detachment commander on Monday, May 29, 2017. In recognition of his service, he was posthumously promoted to the rank of Major on June 5, 2017.
