Replacing the initial Accra City Marathon, the Black Star Marathon anticipates an impressive turnout of over 10,000 runners, offering an exciting and unforgettable experience for both participants and spectators. The festival of running will feature a range of events, including the standard 42.2 km marathon for men and women, a 42.2 km wheelchair marathon, and a 10 km mass run/walk/jog open to all.

Beyond showcasing the vitality of Accra, the Black Star Marathon serves as a platform for fostering a new generation of healthy, active athletes and citizens. Through this event, the Runathon Foundation aims to provide resources for athlete development, including training support, nutrition guidance, equipment provision, and facility access.

Additionally, the marathon aligns with charitable causes supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, enabling participants to contribute to meaningful societal impact.
