State Burial For Former Ningo Prampram MP, E.T. Mensah Commences

The state funeral for Enoch Teye Mensah, affectionately known as E.T. Mensah, former Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency and Council of State member, is currently taking place at the forecourt of the State House. E.T. Mensah passed away in South Africa in October 2023 after a period of declining health, at the age of 77.

The late former MP's remains were repatriated from South Africa to Ghana on October 10, 2023. Enoch Teye Mensah's passing comes as a profound loss, coinciding with the recent passing of former First Lady Theresa Kufuor on October 1, 2023.

Pakistan's Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party revealed that Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, have been sentenced to 14 years in prison for corruption, dealing a severe blow to the embattled former prime minister.  In a case involving the unlawful selling of official gifts during Khan's term as prime minister from 2018 to 2022, the National Accountability Bureau found them guilty. ECG to Disconnect Power to 91 Hospitals Over Outstanding Debts

The National Taskforce of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is gearing up to disconnect electricity supply to 91 hospitals across the country because of overdue payments. These health facilities together owe a considerable sum of GH₵261 million to the power distributor. Sources within ECG have revealed that these hospitals will be cut off from electricity within 48 hours of receiving a "demand notice."
