I am the Unifier Between Youth and Government – Cheddar

Nana Kwame Bediako, known as Cheddar and leader of the New Force, has put forth a vow to champion opportunities for the youth if elected as president in the impending general election.

His pledge reflects a willingness to address the pervasive marginalization of Ghanaian youth from participating in the country's decision-making processes, a perceived injustice that has stymied the nation's progress despite its rich natural endowments.

Speaking to Citi TV on January 15, Bediako expressed concern over the exploitation of youth by politicians who leverage monetary incentives to secure votes. He emphasized the need for a transformative shift, pointing out that the youth must be integrated into the decision-making fabric of the country, particularly in crucial matters pertaining to leadership and governance.

"The New Force is standing for the youth in this country. We believe that in the past four decades, the youth should have the right to be a part of the decision – how and who is going to lead us and how they are supposed to lead us," remarked Bediako, underscoring the imperative for a shift in the historic landscape of Ghanaian politics.

Highlighting the glaring absence of young aspirants with the audacity to step forward in the past forty years, he positioned himself as a unifying figure, determined to bridge the gap between the youth and the government. His vision extends to fostering a platform for young individuals to partake in shaping the country's leadership choices, thus becoming integral contributors to its trajectory.

Central to this initiative is the New Force's commitment to combat the prevalence of monetary enticements aimed at swaying the youth's voting decisions. Bediako emphasized the movement's aim to overhaul the culture of monetary inducements, emphasizing the imperative need for genuine development and job creation as opposed to mere transactional politics.
