KPMG requested more time to complete their task, and this was accommodated by granting the extension. The President's Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin, issued a statement stating that "KPMG is to submit its final report no later than Friday, 23rd February 2024."

Furthermore, the President has granted GRA's request to keep SML's monitoring system up and running even though its GRA-related functions have been suspended. After receiving concerns from GRA regarding possible interruptions as a result of the suspension, this decision was made.
