Thomas Partey Resumes Training After Protracted Injury Layoff

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has made a much-anticipated comeback to training as the team prepares for their upcoming UEFA Champions League clash against FC Porto.

Partey had been sidelined since sustaining a hamstring injury back in October 2023.

Despite his initial recovery earlier this year, the deputy Black Stars captain faced another setback before regaining full match fitness. The setback prevented him from participating in Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Cote d'Ivoire, despite being named in the 55-man provisional squad for the tournament.

Now, with his return to training, Partey is poised to make a significant impact for Mikel Arteta's squad in both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. Having yet to feature in any of Arsenal's Champions League matches this season, Partey could potentially make his first appearance in the crucial round of 16 first-leg encounter against FC Porto.

His return comes at a pivotal time for the team as they look to secure a strong performance in the prestigious European competition.
