Chairman Wontumi vehemently rebutted all allegations leveled against him by the Kokosohene, Nana Kwaku Duah. He presented himself before the Council alongside party executives and government officials, including Majority Leader Osei-Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, National Chairman Stephen Ntim, and General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua, contesting the accusations, deeming them as falsified and malicious misrepresentations of the events during the vetting process.

Despite the defense of the allegations by the Kokosohene, Nana Kwaku Duah, the Kumasi Traditional Council dismissed the claims and called for an amicable resolution between the involved parties without involving the Asantehene.

While seeking calm, the Kumasi Traditional Council readied itself to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Asantehene.
