Alfred Nii Kotey Ashie Elected as NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Odododiodioo Constituency

In a recent election held on Sunday, Alfred Nii Kotey Ashie secured victory as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Odododiodioo constituency. Out of a total of 2161 votes cast, Ashie received 1209 votes, while his closest rival, Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea, garnered 952 votes.

The election saw an impressive turnout of over 2100 NDC delegates from the constituency in the Greater Accra Region. The electoral process initially faced a temporary setback due to an injunction filed by disqualified parliamentary aspirant Michael Nii Yarboi Anan. However, following the dismissal of Mr. Yarboi Anan's interlocutory injunction application, the election proceeded smoothly on Sunday.

Alfred Nii Kotey Ashie's successful candidacy paves the way for his campaign in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
