My Ouster From GFA Was To Clear Path For My Opponents - Kwesi Nyantakyi

During a recent discussion with Bola Ray on Starr Chat, Kwesi Nyantakyi, the former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), shed light on the circumstances surrounding his exit from office, emphasizing that the plot against him was widely known within the organization.

He revealed that the perception of bribery and corruption led to his removal from the GFA, an event he attributed to his opponents' efforts to discredit him and clear a path for themselves.

Mr. Nyantakyi further emphasized that the positions he held were attained on merit, dismissing the notion that his removal would automatically lead to a transfer of his roles to others. He pointed out his notable accomplishments, including being the first Vice President of CAF, one of the seven African Representatives on the FIFA Council, and the President of the West African Football Union.

Highlighting the contentious nature of the situation, Mr. Nyantakyi stressed that many media reports were sponsored by his adversaries, influencing a skewed public perception. He also acknowledged that though there were allegations and a subsequent legal process, such actions are inherent to human society, suggesting that punishment follows when such wrongdoings are proven.
