Menzgold Customers Request Immediate Legal Action Against NAM1
Customers of Menzgold are calling for justice, and their cries have become louder since the Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold Ghana demanded swift legal action against Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1), the CEO of the now-defunct Menzgold Company. The Attorney General, the Minister of Justice, and the Director of Public Prosecutions are doing a great job of pursuing justice for Menzgold customers, and the coalition fully supports their efforts in a statement issued on Tuesday, January 9.

The angry consumers stressed how crucial it was that Nana Appiah Mensah made the Dubai judgment public, calling it a "public document" that would be extremely important in their quest for restitution. They expressed unwavering support for the determination to seek justice.
The legal saga surrounding Nana Appiah Mensah previously involved charges of abetment, defrauding by false pretences, carrying on deposit-taking business without a license, unlawful deposit-taking, and money laundering, among others. The Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame, initiated the prosecution of NAM1 in 2019, stemming from accusations of defrauding thousands of customers through his gold dealership firm, involving substantial sums of money.
In August 2023, Mr. Dame revised the charges against the CEO, introducing fresh allegations, coinciding with Mr. Mensah's announcement of plans to release funds that had been locked up, following an initial payment for verification.
