Recently, Freddie Blay, the former national chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), praised the Akufo-Addo administration for its committed efforts to eradicate corruption. In a Sunday, January 14 interview, he praised the government's efficacy and dedication in putting regulations in place to deal with this widespread problem.

Mr. Blay highlighted in his speech President Akufo-Addo's steadfast will and passion to fight corruption in the nation. He emphasized the administration's emphasis on strengthening important anti-corruption organizations, mentioning the Office of the Special Prosecutor and the Judiciary in particular as being essential to the continuous battle against corruption.
"In my opinion, the Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo government has done more to combat corruption during the third and fourth republics than any other government that comes to mind," he said.
